It used to give me guilty thrills
to see you naked and displayed
Ready, open - your insides splayed
for me to touch and tear
There was nothing that tasted sweeter
than the sweat of your fear
Every mark I put on you a sign
bloody and deep, saying: mine
And how you would bend to meet my lust
you would have crawled through dirt at last
I pierced your skin and soul
I took you apart to make you whole
This guilty thrill, my air, my bread
you were nothing, you were all I had
Chains just made you more perfect, my whore
what you gave me - I always needed more
You trusted me - and when I took out the knife
You loved me enough to trust with your life
This guilty thrill, now memory, now past
- when compared to steel, skin never lasts -
is just an ache now, fading with this dream
I rise as I rise every morning. You smile.
I will never hear you scream.
