     Whiteness.
     Blinding.
     Radiating.
Slicing into him like a knife through butter.
     Ribbons of white pain.
His arm came up slowly to ward off the light as he lay on the floor.
How could it be that such purity could be such evil? So laced with
darkness? How could he not have seen it? Oh, what a fool he'd been! To
take on that Apprentice and think that the Universe could be saved. Pouty,
gifted, Force-strong prodigy. Why had he abandoned all to teach him?
Leaving behind all who loved him? Pride, thy name is Qui-Gon.
The trembling Master looked up at his wayward Apprentice, dazzled by
the light. He would melt in all that aching purity.
Obi-Wan Kenobi smiled triumphantly as he reached out to his Master, the
light growing harsher.
