Intoxicated by your moonlit face,
I lost myself within your midnight eyes;
and half-drunk on your body's liquid grace,
I gave myself to anguish and to sighs,
and in the end...swore never to fall twice.
Yet now I stand before you, ages hence,
to breathe again deep of your flame-stroked ice,
to helpless let you flood my every sense.
I am already damned by torn despair,
and worse yet, by dark joy--so plunge me down
into the tumbling waves of your sleek hair;
release my inhibitions--let me drown.
