Kalerrin had been settled by a group of people who had gotten hopelessly lost in a hyperspace accident. Trying to land on the planet they had chosen to colonize they were suddenly attacked by alien ships. Their hyperdrive damaged, they limped to a nearby moon on impulse engines to hide and repair their ship. After the repairs they re-engaged the hyperdrive and plotted a course for home. The ship lurched once during hyperspace, and when they came out they saw a planet that resembled their home. The ship and settlers were safe, but they had landed in a place that was no where near where they had been headed nor near their home planet - Earth.

They'd brought many animals with them including horses, cats, dogs, and sheep. They settled down and created a new world, using what it offered and adapting the things they'd brought. Now, three hundred years later, it was home to them.

As the shuttle touched down gently, Obi-Wan let out a small sigh releasing some of his tension into the force. This last mission had been particularly trying. The kidnapping of Taberthia's king had called upon all his skills. It hadn't helped that the council sent Qui-Gon to assist. He knew that the council had complete faith in him; it was just the Queen had requested Qui-Gon's aid personally.

Though finding and rescuing the king had been difficult, it had been Qui-Gon himself that made it harder. Or rather, Obi-Wan's reaction to his presence. Obi-Wan sighed again as he let his emotions fill him and then released them. Frustration was the greatest. Fear was there also. He understood them both. He loved Qui-Gon with all of his being.

During his years as Qui-Gon's apprentice his love had grown. It had grown from awe and gratitude. After several missions with his master the awe was gone and the gratitude had faded. It stayed as just a deep caring for some time. There had been the flush of infatuation in his adolescence, but that had past quickly. It wasn't until a few years ago that he noticed the subtle change into something deeper. At that point Obi-Wan spent several days in perfecting his shielding over that part of him. It had not been out of shame, but out of fear. Fear of rejection. Not only for his feelings and the fear they may not be returned, but also the fear he would lose his master. Qui-Gon was a hard man to read. At times he caught a flash of "something" from Qui-Gon, but it had always been so fleeting he could never figure out what it was.

Obi-Wan glanced out the shuttle window and saw Sarina hurrying out of the Port office to meet him.

~'Rina's wedding is a perfect opportunity to relax,~ Obi-Wan thought with a small smile. ~ It certainly won't be boring, knowing 'Rina.~ Though as Sarina was an Empath, he knew he needed to tighten his shields. They wouldn't keep everything out because her empathic abilities didn't come from the Force, but they would blunt them. Hopefully, with all the wedding and reception details that she needed to tend to she wouldn't notice his emotional tension.

When Obi-Wan walked off the shuttle ramp, Sarina swept him into a hug. "I'm so glad you're here, Obi."

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Obi-Wan replied giving her a quick kiss.

"Here, here. None of that. She belongs to me." The voice came from behind 'Rina.

Obi-Wan looked up to see 'Rina's fiancé, Tyberus, walking towards them with a wide smile. Obi-Wan reached out his hand with an answering smile of his own.

"Congratulations, Ty," he said as they clasped hands. "I'm glad we're going to be family."

"So am I." Tyberus replied then turned to kiss his bride-to be.

Obi-Wan waited patiently for the kiss to end. Finally, they remembered he was there and turned back to him. 'Rina's cheeks flushed.

"Sorry, Obi," she said unrepentantly.

"No problem. I enjoy watching people in love."

"Well, I'll leave 'Rina to show you to your room," Tyberus said. Then with a quick kiss to 'Rina he turned and was gone.

After a short trip to 'Rina's house in a land hopper, she led Obi-Wan to his room and showed him in. Obi-Wan walked into the bedroom and dropped his bag. He turned to see 'Rina leaning on the doorjamb with her feet crossed. He took in her shoulder-length curly brown hair; brown sparking eyes and heart-shaped face. She was dressed in her usual home attire of blue jeans, red T-shirt and brown boots. Obi-Wan thought she looked beautiful.

"It's a good thing you're my cousin or I'd give Tyberus some competition," he said. "You look beautiful, as always."

"Hmph. As if your heart isn't full of another. Well?" she asked with an upraised eyebrow.

"Well, what?"

"Don't give me that. You know what I'm asking. Have you told Qui-Gon yet that you love him?" Not asking would have raised suspicions.

"No," he replied with a sigh and turned to look out the window at the corral full of horses below.

"And why not? Because you need it dragged out of you?" She asked giving him a sweet and mischievous smile that promised that she knew something he didn't.

"You know why not."

"Bullshit!"

"What's a bull?" Obi-Wan asked, trying to change the subject from one he didn't want to think or talk about.

"Fine. I'll stop. How 'bout a ride before bed?"

"I'd love one."

Qui-Gon reviewed all he knew about Obi-Wan's cousin's homeworld. He was looking forward to the wedding party, and what he hoped would occur afterwards. The wedding had already taken place and he was arriving in time for the reception. More of a party really. He liked Sarina's idea of what a wedding should be, and he liked her, though there was a time he wasn't so sure.

-Six months earlier-

He had been meditating in the Temple gardens about his feelings for his apprentice. He knew he loved Obi-Wan. Knew for some time now. And he was pretty sure Obi-Wan felt the same, but that boy had some strong shields.

~Man. Obi-Wan is a man now. ~ He mentally corrected himself. ~Though how I could forget that is beyond me. ~

With that his inner vision was filled with images of Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan with sweat glistening his skin as he did his katas. Obi-Wan moving around their shared quarters. Meditating. Walking out of the shower with just a towel wrapped around him and his hair wet.

At that last thought he mentally shook himself and tramped down his arousal. That's when she ambushed him. There was no other word for it.

"Master Jinn? May I speak with you?" A soft voice called.

Qui-Gon looked up and saw the young Jedi healer. For a moment he was disorientated because of his musings of Obi-Wan. Then the memory clicked into place; Obi-Wan's cousin, Sarina.

"Yes, Sarina. How may I be of service?"

"You can tell me when you're going to put Obi-Wan out of misery."

"What?!" Qui-Gon was startled.

"You do love him, don't you?"

Qui-Gon was still startled enough to answer without evasions. "Yes."

"I was pretty sure. And then while I was looking for you I felt your love and desire for him."

Belatedly Qui-Gon remembered that Obi-Wan's cousin was an empath. And that she specialized in helping with emotional and spiritual problems. He gathered the Force about him so he could regain the calm he was always noted for.

"It is not yet time," he answered.

"And when will be the right time? Obi-Wan is being stretched thin with hiding his feelings from you and repressing them in himself. It isn't healthy." She said with faint accusation in the steady gaze directed at him.

"After he is Knighted. Which should be in about four to six months."

"Good," Sarina said softly and relaxed.

Qui-Gon realized that not all her tension was from her concern for Obi-Wan. Some of it was because she had gathered all her courage to confront the "Great Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn". He tried to hide his amusement at that and failed.

"It isn't funny. You can be intimidating at times, you know. May I?" She asked indicating the empty bench beside him.

"Please," Qui-Gon said as he moved over a little.

"Hmm. You know, I might have the perfect opportunity for you."

"What is it?"

"As you know I'm getting married in six months. I'm having a small traditional wedding with a few family and friends, but afterwards…"

"Yes?"

"Can you two-step?"

-Present-

With the memory of that encounter fresh in his mind Qui-Gon slowly walked down the ramp of the transport that had brought him to meet his destiny. At the end of the walkway stood a well-built young man with brown hair and eyes. He was dressed in black tux, white shirt, and string tie.

"Master Jinn?" he inquired.

"Yes. You must be Tyberus."

Both men shook hands while taking the measure of the other. They liked what they saw.

"Let me show you where you'll be staying so you can change," Tyberus said with one hand gesturing to the land hopper. " You did bring the clothes that 'Rina gave you?"

"Of course."

After settling into the land hopper Qui-Gon turned to Tyberus, "So, how was the wedding?"

"It was great. The party should be starting in about an hour and a half."

"And Obi-Wan?"

"He's here and not expecting a thing."

Qui-Gon leaned back into the seat with a small smile on his face. His anticipation was growing, but he carefully shielded so he wouldn't tip off his love that he was here.

Obi-Wan walked into the wedding reception a little more than fashionably late. After the ceremony he had taken a ride to clear his head and heart. Sitting by the riverside, he had allowed his feelings to flow out of him like the water flowed downstream. Releasing his need, want, desire, and frustration left him with a calm peace. He was finally in a place where he could celebrate 'Rina and Ty's wedding without melancholy overtaking him.

As Obi-Wan looked around the old barn that had been converted into the community gathering house he was reminded again of the Planet's country and western roots. Tables were set up around the outside walls and above in the loft. The center was cleared to allow for dancing. Across from him on the other side of the building the band had set up on the small stage. There was a bar just to the right of him.

~Well. It looks as if 'Rina got the party she wanted instead of the "stuffy reception".~ Obi-Wan thought with a smile. ~Leave it to 'Rina to do something different. Then again, considering the women in her family it really shouldn't be all that surprising.~

Just then Sarina's sister, Tarika, jumped up on the stage. Obi-Wan's smile widened as he anticipated what was to come next.

Sarina and Tarika, their mother and grandmother and so on before them, had the hobby of listening to the music that the founders had brought with them. The first generation had carefully preserved the music with the most current recording methods available. Each generation after did the same. Now, Tarika was bringing them back to life. She sang them. With the ones she couldn't perform or didn't want to she released them to other bands so they could. They were suddenly the most popular music to hit the planet. Obi-Wan knew which one she was going to sing now and couldn't hide the grin on his face on he walked up to Tyberus.

"It's too late for you to back out now," Obi-Wan said with a slap on his back.

Tyberus had changed into black jeans, but kept his white shirt and tux jacket. He wore a black cowboy hat now too, that was a match for Obi-Wan's. Tyberus took in Obi-Wan's outfit of black jeans, boots, and blue-green shirt that matched his ever changing eyes.

"Looking good out of them Jedi robes," Tyberus said with an answering smile. "What are you talking about? Why would I back out now?"

"You'll see." Obi-Wan laughed as a group of women surrounded them and pulled Tyberus to the center of the dance floor where Sarina was waiting for him. She had changed out of her gown into bleached blue jeans, white silk shirt, boots, and cowboy hat.

As the other women formed a circle around them Tarika broke into song. Obi-Wan just watched with a grin as Sarina danced around a befuddled Tyberus, while she sang along with her sister.

This is what a woman wants

`Any man of mine better be proud of me,
Even when I'm ugly he still better love me,
And I can be late for a date that's fine,
But he'd better be on time.

Any man of mine say it fits just right,
When last years dress is just a little too tight,
And anything I do or say better be OK,
When I have a bad hair day.

Tucked into a corner on the loft, Qui-Gon smiled as Sarina started dancing around Tyberus, then turned his attention back to where it had been held since the moment his former Padawan walked in. Using the trick he'd recently learned from Yoda, he carefully masked his presence from Obi-Wan's senses. Qui-Gon chuckled to himself when he thought of Obi-Wan's belief that Qui-Gon already knew all the Jedi tricks. But, it seem that the small 800 year old Jedi master still had a few up his sleeve.

It was almost time; the song was coming to a close. Sarina had told him that after this there would be two slow songs. The first she would dance with her new husband, the second with Obi-Wan. That was when Qui-Gon was to make his move. Qui-Gon looked down at the clothes that Sarina had given him a month ago when the lessons started.

It had taken a while but he had gotten used to the brown cowboy boots and blue jeans. The jeans were tighter than he was used to, but he came to like the feeling. Except when he thought of Obi-Wan, then they became a little too tight. He really liked the blue shirt. The hat he still wasn't sure about. As the second song ended and the one Sarina would dance with Obi-Wan began, Qui-Gon put the hat on his head and started down the stairs. As it settled on his hair he was glad that he'd decided to braid it.

The plan was to meet at the edge of the dance floor nearest the stairs. Qui-Gon smiled at Tyberus as he joined him there.

"They're coming around now," Tyberus said with a nod to the left.

Qui-Gon looked over to see Obi-Wan coming towards him with Sarina in his arms. He'd just laughed at something that Sarina said and Qui-Gon's heart leaped to see him so happy.

Obi-Wan was so focused on Sarina that he didn't notice anyone on the sidelines. He'd just finished laughing when he heard a deep voice ask…

"May I?"

Obi-Wan froze then looked behind him.

"M-Master?" Obi-Wan stuttered, but recovered quickly. "Of course, Master Qui-Gon."

Obi-Wan stepped aside with a slight bow so Qui-Gon could dance with the bride. All the while he was wondering why Qui-Gon was here and why he hadn't sensed him.

His puzzlement grew when he looked up to see Sarina dancing away in Tyberus' arms and not Qui-Gon's. He looked quickly at Qui-Gon and was even more surprised to see Qui-Gon holding his hand out to him.

"Shall we, Obi-Wan? We seem to be causing a slight traffic jam," Qui-Gon said with amusement in his eyes.

They finished the dance in silence though from time to time Obi-Wan would look up at his former master with a question in his eyes. Qui-Gon would just smile in response. As they danced Qui-Gon's hand rubbed Obi-Wan's back in a caressing manner, confusing him even more. While he enjoyed the feel of Qui-Gon's hand, he wondered how far the older man would take it and what exactly it meant.

When the song ended the guests started another of the traditions that it had kept from home. Everyone who had a glass was tapping it with something until the air was filled with the sound of tinkling glasses. It was at these times that the guests wanted the bride and groom to kiss.

With the focus on the wedding couple, Qui-Gon decided this was the best time to make his move. Leading Obi-Wan off the dance floor into a shadowed corner, he pulled Obi-Wan into his arms and kissed him. The softness of Obi-Wan's lips under his filled Qui-Gon with the longing for more. He ran his tongue along Obi-Wan's lips silently asking for permission to enter. Obi-Wan parted his lips and Qui-Gon's tongue slid in and began to explore the moist heat of Obi-Wan's mouth. Their tongues danced and twirled around each other both seeking to experience the taste of the other.

Obi-Wan wound his arms around Qui-Gon's neck and threaded his fingers into what hair he could reach through the braid. When he heard Qui-Gon's moan against his mouth, he pushed himself closer so his hardness was pressed against Qui-Gon's thigh. This time Obi-Wan moaned but it was swallowed by Qui-Gon.

Breaking the kiss off, Qui-Gon lifted his head and looked down into Obi-Wan's eyes. They were a deep green and were dilated with passion. Both were panting from the emotions that were running through them.

"Obi-Wan?"

"Yesss. Now."

Reaching for Obi-Wan's hand, he pulled it up to his mouth and kissed the palm causing Obi-Wan's breath to hitch. Then Qui-Gon led him out of the community hall and over to the stables where two horses were waiting for them. Obi-Wan looked at the horses and then looked over to Qui-Gon.

"Sarina." Qui-Gon answered the unspoken question. Obi-Wan just nodded.

They rode quickly through the night allowing the peace to fill them and gently calm, just calm, the fires burning within them. Obi-Wan knew they were headed towards a cabin that was only used in the spring when the mares foaled and where watchers stayed to be near the herd in case they were needed. He appreciated the privacy that Sarina was giving them. He also noticed that his jeans were getting a little tight from the images running through his mind in anticipation of what was going to happen.

Reaching the cabin, they led the horses into the small stable to the left. Obi-Wan quickly removed the saddles and began to brush the mounts while Qui-Gon gave them grain and water. Pouring the last of the grain out, Qui-Gon stood back to watch Obi-Wan.

Qui-Gon leaned against an empty stall and just enjoyed seeing Obi-Wan gently brush the horses. ~How is it that he can move so… sensuously?~

When Obi-Wan finished and turned to him he noticed a twinkle in his eyes. A twinkle that he had seen before; one that meant that some wicked idea had occurred to Obi-Wan. He watched as Obi-Wan flowed over to him as if he had water for bones.

"How about a roll in the hay, Qui-Gon?"

"Anything you wish, my love," he saw Obi-Wan's eyes flash at the endearment.

"Am I? Am I your love?" Obi-Wan asked huskily.

Obi-Wan had reached his former master by now and was running his hands up and down the front of the older man's shirt. He unbuttoned one button on each sweep of his hands until the shirt was open to his heated view.

"Yes. My love, my heart, and my soul."

Qui-Gon's breathing shallowed until it was coming in gasps as Obi-Wan played with his chest and nipples. Obi-Wan used the Force to pull a horse blanket over and spread it out on the hay. Then he hooked his leg around Qui-Gon's and toppled them onto it.

Qui-Gon rolled until Obi-Wan was under him and captured his lips and devoured him. Obi-Wan moaned and ground his groin into Qui-Gon's.

Obi-Wan pushed Qui-Gon's shirt off with some assistance from Qui-Gon. While Qui-Gon was raised off his chest, Obi-Wan grabbed his own shirt and pulled it open, the snaps sounding loudly in the silence of the barn.

"Nice shirt, love. I always wondered why those shirts were made with snaps instead of buttons," Qui-Gon said with a smile before dropping his head to take one of Obi-Wan's nipples in his mouth. Obi-Wan groaned and arched up. Holding Qui-Gon's head to his chest he swiveled his hardness against Qui-Gon.

"Too… many… clothes," Obi-Wan said breathlessly.

Obi-Wan rolled Qui-Gon over and began to undo the button-fly jeans Qui-Gon wore. Qui-Gon lifted his hips to aid Obi-Wan in pulling them down. An unremembered obstacle stopped them.

"Stupid boots," Obi-Wan mumbled then tugged them off. He pulled Qui-Gon's jeans the rest of the way off, then just stared at what was hidden underneath them.

Qui-Gon was hard. Hard and large.

Obi-Wan blinked then attacked his own boots and jeans. When he was finally naked he just stood there as Qui-Gon's heated gaze roamed over him. It made him hotter than he could believe possible. Qui-Gon drew up his legs until they were bent and spread out in a blatant invitation.

Obi-Wan dropped to his knees between Qui-Gon's and took him into his mouth pulling hard, creating a suction that had Qui-Gon almost screaming. Obi-Wan placed one finger in his mouth and wet it thoroughly. Then gently stroked Qui-Gon's opening.

Pushing slowly until the finger was all the way in, Obi-Wan continued to lick and suck on his former master's cock. Withdrawing to wet a second and third finger he gently opened his beloved. Stretching and scissoring his fingers he put pressure right *there*.

"Yesss. Now, Beloved, now."

"Yes, Qui-Gon. Now."

Remembering that he saw a bottle of lotion above the barn's sink, Obi-Wan used the Force to bring it over to where they lay. Not wanting to remove his fingers from Qui-Gon he applied another small bit of the force to open the bottle. He leaned up on his knees and poured the lotion on his own cock and spread it around.

Lifting Qui-Gon's hips higher he placed himself at Qui-Gon's opening and slowly slid in. The heat and tightness was more than he ever imagined. Both groaned in pleasure.

Obi-Wan thrust slowly at first, but sensing his love's need for more he increased. Thrusting deeper and faster until he knew they were both close to completion.

Reaching for Qui-Gon's neglected hardness he used the hand that had spread the lotion on himself to stroke him.

"More… harder, Obi-Wan."

Obi-Wan thrust deeply three more times until his seed was spilling into Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon came a bare moment later, spraying them both. As they climaxed, their minds reached out for the other and the old training bond sprang into being anew, except with a subtle difference. It was stronger than it had ever been.

Qui-Gon gathered Obi-Wan to himself and let his love flow across the new bond.

"I love you, Obi-Wan."

"And I love you, Qui-Gon. I have for a long time," Obi-Wan answered sending all his love back through the bond. "What is this anyway?"

"I believe it is a soul-bond, my love. Does it disturb you?"

"Not at all," he murmured sleepily.

"You know, we have a perfectly good bed in the cabin."

"Too tired to move."

"How about a shower first? Then bed?"

"With you?" Obi-Wan looked up with a sly smile.

"Of course," Qui-Gon chuckled at his beloved. "Unless you want to shower with the horses?"
