This is set as a moment in time in the Fates Universe. It helps if you've read the earlier chapters to understand the slight angsty bit.

Thank you to Master Lea and Auntie Raina for letting me play in the Fates universe. :)

Qui-Gon ran through the woods, tripping over the sticks that lay hidden under leaves. He wrenched himself up after each stumble, racing as if all the hounds of the sith hell dogged his footsteps. His breath exploded, in and out as enormous gusts of air from his chest, painfully and with difficulty. There was no way to tell how long he'd been running, or why. All he knew was wracking pain, grief and a sense of doom.

As he ran, the woods grew lighter, the trees less dense. His footsteps slowed. His pace lessened until he was no longer sprinting all out. The fear and fateful sense was evaporating, inexplicably. Somehow, as the light increased a feeling of calm and joy filled him. Bird song filled the air, leaves swirled around him, gold and russet in a beautiful spiral. He began to run again, towards the light, towards happiness and that was when he saw him, Obi-Wan, his Ben.

"Ben," he whispered.

Obi-Wan held out his arms in invitation. Qui-Gon raced to him, grabbed him and tossed Obi-Wan to the ground, into a bed of fall leaves. He gracelessly dropped onto the slighter form, eliciting an "oof"of pleasured shock from his lover as Obi-Wan absorbed his weight, then burst out into great peels of laughter. They wrestled in the leaves, giggling and fondling ticklish and sensitive areas.

Their laughter was as much part of their desire and fun as were the insistent erections that bumped against each other. Obi-Wan smiled up into warm blue eyes, giggling softly at the moan that burst from Qui- Gon's lips as his fingers insinuated themselves beneath sweat-damp leggings and pulled at the rigid flesh he found there.

"Never leave me," Qui-Gon gasped.

"I will never leave you, Quiggs" Obi-Wan promised, "now kiss me."

Qui-Gon covered the other man's lips, his mouth open and demanding. They surged together, laughter and gaiety cast aside in favor of hard flesh, driving rhythms and the softness of yielding surrender. Their clothes melted away under their mutual touches like spun sugar, revealing all. Obi-Wan broke away from Quigg's kiss to steal a look at the velevety hard cock he grasped. "Inside me now, please," he begged.

"You destroy me," Qui-Gon sobbed, his voice shattering and breaking with the overwhelming love he felt for this man. He bit Ben on the shoulder and then thrust forward to impale the smaller form beneath him.

"No, my Destroyer," Ben insisted, pushing into the thrusts of the larger man. "You destroy me, you're mine."

"Mine," Quiggs echoed, "my Destroyer, forever..."

Then all words ceased for a time as the men came together and apart, over and over, until there was nothing left but spent passion and sweat cooling on steamy bodies. Quiggs gathered a sleepy Ben into his arms and fell asleep among the leaves, uncaring of the discomfort of broken sticks and the crushed foliage underneath him. He had everything that mattered to him in this universe, cradled against his chest. Nothing could touch them here.

Qui-Gon woke with a start. He was drenched in sweat and- a quick look under the covers-other things. He winced and gingerly got out of his bunk, trying not to disturb his Master, who slept in the neighboring berth. He padded, barefoot, to the refresher, only pausing long enough to grab his comlink. He initiated a call to the only person he cared about, body and soul. "Ben."

"Yes," a sleepy voice answered at the comlink's first summons.

Quiggs grinned, apparently his lover was sleeping with his link right next to him. Perhaps he was afraid to miss his lover's call. "Do you miss me as much as I miss you?"

There was a soft chuckle. "Ask the cleaning droids who have to clean my sheets every morning," he voice straightened and became serious. "When will you be coming home? Master and I are on Coruscant now, but we're due to leave on assignment in 5 days."

"In a few cycles, will you meet me at our usual place?"

"Of course!" Obi-Wan's voice grew breathless with excitement, "I can't wait."

"Neither can I, my Destroyer," Quiggs said, his voice filled with love.

"Destroyer? Is that what you said?" Ben asked, his voice low and confused.

Qui-Gon chuckled, "while we wait for me to arrive, let me tell you about a dream I had..."
