Summary: Xanatos thinking of Obi-Wan. JA books mostly didn't happen, instead other, more interesting things happened.

Notes: This was inspired by Keelywolfes brilliant Any Port in a Storm. But it is just inspiration, not the same universe.

Feedback: Please. It is what we live for.

Illusions of freedom dissipate
like darkness that flees in your bright presence
we are prisoners in our cages of fear
Crafted tenderly over the years
every pain, every dissapointment,
every soft sob cried alone in the night
buildingblocks for the walls we raised
to separate us from each other
fear of getting hurt traps me here
even if I scream you cannot hear me
I cannot reach out to touch you
me, the apprentice of darkness, of fear and anger
owner of all the dark things, of all the black desires and whims
became slave of this one bright hope
this fragile bridge between us I do not dare to trust
so I'm just watching as you move through the world
with such grace and delicacy
seemingly untouched by the sorrow
I know to lurk behind your masks
It is so much easier for us both
just to pass by without a touch
strangers under the cruel sun
you can always love him
isn't he the perfect lover
only natural they will say
who hasn't loved his master?

If there is price to pay
and there always is
I will pay it freely, with smile on my eyes
for this one eternal moment when our hands touched
dark rivers opening in my heart
heavy stormclouds whirling across the sky
do you feel this?
this damned electricity
that surges through me
I could swear you do but it is just my foolish hope
you turn away and the air leaves me, the light leaves me
You could be my savior
I have seen the future
be it in motion or set in stone
you will be my doom
but what a glorious doom it will be
sweet and bitter, light and dark entwined together
shredded to pieces, thrown in oblivion
in the tender embrace of the death
I can be free for all eternity
