He sat, stunned and quiet, listening to the teapot bubble behind him. It wasn't often a position he found himself in, speechless before his lover, before his padawan. Part of him was reeling in shock. When had Obi-Wan changed from a tentative lover to this adventurous man, willing to test the levels of their trust? Qui-Gon shivered in his chair, determined to know his own feelings in this.

He was concerned, nervous, maybe even apprehensive. They had played games, tested their boundaries as master and padawan, as lovers, but this, this was something different…

This wasn't an act borne on waves of passion. Obi-Wan had planned this, thought about it.

The thought was extremely arousing.

"Master?" Obi-Wan sat before him, eyes fixed upon his face. Obi-Wan's request had come from the blue, the young man looking at him earnestly, not blushing, not stammering. Qui-Gon smiled. How brave his padawan was, how open, how trusting.

"Are you sure you know what you're asking, Obi-Wan?"

The nod was short and definite. "I do, Qui-Gon."

"Why?"

Obi-Wan cocked his head. "Partially curiosity, I guess. Mostly, I need… we've come so close before and the intensity took my breath away. Just to know you're so focused, touching me so deeply. I just…" Obi-Wan's voice died away and he frowned. "Are you interested, Qui-Gon?"

Qui-Gon closed his eyes, reaching inward. The thought of slowly opening Obi-Wan's body -- stroking his hand inside him, stretching the tight body in a way that it had never been stretched before -- sent tremors throughout the Jedi master's body. His skin tingled as the arousal crept throughout him. Slowly he opened his eyes and focused on the worried face before him.

As Obi-Wan opened his mouth, Qui-Gon leaned forward and kissed him, deeply and steadily, stealing the younger man's breath and words. Easing back, Qui-Gon nodded. "Your trust honors me and I am willing to share this with you."

Obi-Wan's smile warmed him, setting his fears to rest.

Qui-Gon stood, drawing Obi-Wan up with him. "Go, clean yourself, within and without, and draw us a warm bath. I'll be there in a few moments."

His hand was drawn up to Obi-Wan's lips and a soft kiss was dropped on each knuckle. "I trust you, Qui-Gon."

"I know, Obi-Wan. Go on, love."

Qui-Gon poured himself a cup of tea, savoring the taste, and feeling the thin china cradled within his fingers, waiting for the sound of water splashing in the tub.
